- you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 11it. a DSGVO,

4. Use of cookies

We use cookies on our site. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. The cookie contains information about which result in each case in connection with the specifically used terminal device. This does not mean, however, that we will immediately become aware of your identity. On the one hand, the use of cookies serves to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual pages on our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our site. In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimise user-friendliness, which are stored on your terminal for a specific period of time. If you visit our site again to make use of our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already been with us and which inputs and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again. On the other hand, we use cookies to record the use of our website statistically and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer for you (see point 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already visited our site when you visit it again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time. The data processed by cookies are necessary for the purposes mentioned to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. The complete deactivation of cookies may, however, result in you not being able to use all the functions of our website.

5. Retargeting

We would like to show you only those advertisements you are really interested in. That is why we use so-called retargeting at www.rivierapool.com for advertising tailored to your interests. When you visit www.rivierapool.com, our retargeting partners temporarily store cookies on your end device via your Internet browser. The temporarily stored cookies enable our retargeting partners to recognize visitors to our shop under a pseudonym and only display advertisements for products that are likely to be of interest to our visitors. The temporary cookies enable our partners to track and save the click path of our visitors under the pseudonym. Only data about your use of www.rivierapool.com is collected (e.g. number of page views from www.rivierapool.com, internal search queries, product page views, login status, confirmation page view, etc.). At no time are personal or sensitive data stored in the cookies of our partners. The data collected from our partners is not merged with data that allows our visitors to be identified.

If you do not wish to receive advertising personalised by retargeting, please use one of the following options to object with effect for the future:

On the one hand, as with all other third-party cookies, you can use your browser settings to control the use of cookies and, for example, only accept the storage of temporary cookies with your consent. Please read the section "Use of cookies". A further objection option is to click on the opt-out link displayed in each retargeting advertising medium used by our partners. The click on the link leads you to the pages of our advertising partner, where you can switch off the advertising service. Please keep in mind that in order to switch off retargeting, a so-called opt-out cookie is stored on your end device via your Internet browser. Your objection is therefore only effective if you use the same Internet browser and allow this opt-out cookie and do not delete it. If you subsequently wish to use another Internet browser, please also use one of the two opposition options with this Internet browser. You can also unsubscribe these cookies via the so-called Google Tag Manager, which is used by this website, with only one link. Please deactivate Google Analytics for this purpose. In this way you will be provided with an opt-out option for all Google Tag Manager tags on the basis of a cookie.

6. Analysis tools - tracking tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure that our website is designed in line with requirements and continuously optimised. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures in order to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for you for the purpose of optimising our offer. These interests are to be regarded as justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision. The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on this link. b) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

We also use Google Conversion Tracking to record the use of our website statistically and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our website for you. Google Adwords places a cookie (see number 4) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google advertisement.

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on the AdWords customer's website and the cookie has not expired, Google and the customer will be able to tell that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to that page. Data protection authorities require that a contract data processing agreement be concluded for the permitted use of Google Analytics. Google will provide a template to this effect at static.googleusercontent.com/media/www.google.de/de/de/analytics/terms/de.pdf . Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be traced via the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers will know the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were directed to a page tagged with a Conversion Tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse to set a cookie as required, for example by setting your browser to disable the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the ... www.googleadservices.com.. domain. Google's Privacy Policy for Conversion Tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

For this purpose we use Google Remarketing, an advertising service of Google, with which previous visitors of the website can be specifically advertised. We use cross-device remarketing with Google AdWords. Provided you've agreed for Google to link your web browser history to your Google Account, Google will use information from your Google Account, along with Google Analytics data, to personalize ads and create target audience data for cross-device remarketing.

As a Google user, you can customize your ad preferences under "my account" and opt out of personalized ads. When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser connects directly to Instagram's servers. Instagram sends the content of the plugin directly to your browser and integrates it into the page. This integration tells Instagram that your browser has accessed the appropriate page on our site, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transferred directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Instagram" button, this information is also sent directly to an Instagram server where it is stored.
